District Nursing - The surgery’s district nursing team is based at Harpurhey Health Centre and carry out home visits for patients requiring medical attention in the home. This service is accessed by hospital and GP referral - Please contact: 0161 549 6600

Community Active Case Managers - The team offers a service to patients in their homes who have multiple or complex chronic diseases. These are accessed by hospital or GP referral - Please contact: 0161 274 1550

Family Planning - The community family planning clinic is available at Harpurhey Health Centre - Please contact: 0161 861 2411

Practice Nurses are available to carry out cervical smears for all ladies registered at the practice. Government guidelines advise all ladies aged between 25 years and 65 years of age are screened regularly. For ladies aged between 25 years and 49 years they recommend 3 yearly recalls and ladies aged between 50 years and 65 years five yearly recall. The guidelines are based on previous normal results, ladies with previous abnormal smear results will be advised on a patient specific basis.

Physio Self Referral

This is a service that you can contact directly if you are having muscle pain, joint pain, back ache etc.  Anything to do with your muscles, joints or bones.

Remember, this is not just a physio service but a service which can prescribe medication, refer on for tests etc.

This is the service that GPs will refer into so by going direct you can save time by bypassing your GP practice completely.
